Photoshop brush settings

ok, i recently got a new computer (this one doesn't explode every time i turn it on yeah!!) with Windows XP (i had 98SE)

i installed Photoshop 7.0.1 , but there is a thing that changed, when i click on the brushes ribbon to choose one and adjust shape and stuff, i just get a plain list with thumbnails, no angle, diffusion and so on menu i was used to find there, here is what i get when i click the brushes ribbon (it's italian version, don't worry, some extra-spaghetti and mafia on it hahaha)

i think its a simple setting i have to adjust, but dunno where it is, could anyone please help??

thankyou

IVE NEVER USED THAT BRUSH BROWSER. USE THE THING ON THE LEFT WHEN U SELECT THE TOOL INSTEAD. just like older PS versions.

ohmygod, i always have trouble asking for help about photoshop.........

the fact is that if i use the left thing i can choose only the brush diameter, not the angle, diffusion, blablabla...

and with the right click i just get this little menu....
