new mouse on the street soon :)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RAZER INTRODUCES THE COPPERHEAD(tm)
World's first 2000 dpi laser optical mouse offers hardcore gamers
unparalleled precision, onboard memory and fully customizable hardware

San Diego, August 4, 2005 - Razer, the world leader in high-end computer
gaming peripherals, unveiled the newest snake in their family of reptilian
gaming accessories - the Copperhead(tm) - during a press conference at their
world headquarters in Singapore.

Known for ultra-precise gaming peripherals like the award-winning
Diamondback(tm) mouse, the Copperhead is the world's most advanced gaming
mouse, giving hardcore gamers precise tracking and accuracy, unprecedented
speed and, for the first time, built-in intelligence.

"Razer products embody cutting- edge gaming technology pioneered by a team
of talented engineers," Robert Krakoff, president, Razer USA, said.
"Working closely with the gaming community also helps us develop peripherals
like the Copperhead, giving gamers a competitive edge in play. We're
confident that the Copperhead will be the new benchmark for mice among
competitive gamers."

Superior precision, speed and response
Powered by Razer Precision(tm) technology, the Copperhead's laser sensor has
an unequaled tracking precision of up to 2000 dpi, making it the most
precise gaming mouse available. As a full speed USB device, the Copperhead
is also the fastest mouse compared to other gaming mice. Its 16 bit data
channel features 1000Hz Ultrapolling(tm) capabilities, and with a 1
millisecond response rate, the Copperhead empowers gamers with
lightning-fast response that can mean the difference between fragging vs.
getting fragged to the hardcore gamer. The mouse features a frame rate of
over 7000 frames per second (fps) - far surpassing the industry's current
frame rate of 6400 fps and high-speed motion detection of more than 50
inches/second.

The new standard in customization
The Copperhead is the only mouse to feature onboard memory capabilities.
Powered by Razer Synapse(tm) technology, the 32KB onboard memory in the
mouse allows gamers to carry up to five different personal configurations on
the hardware itself, eliminating the need for constant installation of
software drivers. The mouse also features a customizable weights system,
seven programmable extra-large non-slip buttons and can be personalized with
a variety of aesthetic covers using the Razer Copperhead Pro-Tools(tm)
accessory kit (sold separately).

Sensitive, sleek and highly functional
Like the Diamondback(tm) and other award-winning Razer products, the
Copperhead incorporates all the features that hardcore gamers have come to
expect. The mouse

utilizes Razer's Always-On(tm) technology; the laser sensor never powers
down, providing instantaneous response at all times during gameplay.
Razer's On-The-Fly Sensitivity(tm) adjustment software drivers provides
gamers with smooth and controlled speed adjustments at all times; like the
Diamondback, the Copperhead enables users to adjust sensitivity settings for
different game situations, and even within game environments.

The Copperhead is specially designed with ergonomic contours, large non-slip
mouse buttons and a tactile response design to provide users with a firm,
secure grip for even the most heated gameplay sessions. The Zero-Acoustic
Ultra-Slick(tm) Teflon feet allow for friction-free motion over any surface.

The Copperhead will be available in three colors: Tempest Blue, Chaos Green
and Anarchy Red, and carry an expected MSRP of $79.99. The Copperhead will
be available at retailers and the Razer online store by mid-September.

re:

 I want one!

thats about £44.00 at the current rate. Thats about the price of a Razer Diamondback Plasma 1600dpi Gaming Mouse Limited Edition and about 5 £ more than a Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade so  400 more dpi for about the same price unless they charge more for uk?
