Server Control/JO
 

Our clan has a remote server that we host several game types. Since starting up with JO we have had several problems. When connecting to our server with a remote desktop JO will crash the server if we spend more than a few min's trying to set it up, map changes and stuff. We currently think it's the heavy graphics running top and bottom of the setup screen, servers don't have the graphics needed to run the fancy stuff. This may be compleatly off base but it is all we can think of...

What Im looking for is some kind of software we can run on the server that will let us change stuff without it crashing all of the time. Or a way of turning off all of the extrs graphics crap so the server can cope with us changing the configuration.

If we cant get this sorted then we will have to drop JO because it's killing TS2 and the other games that we run.

I guess you've already tried the "RAT" that came with JO/E ??

Ok, here is what I got from them:

" ... the graphics part being displayed through remote desktop may be causing the crash. I would suggest making sure all drivers on the server are updated, and if the crash continues, try using a different remote access tool (like VNC or GoToMyPC).

I would need to know server specs to troubleshoot any further (I'd need dxdiag.txt)"

Let me know if that doesn't work :D
