need help...friggin CD...
 

Ok, i just installed DFLW. and now when i rebooted, i opened up CD drive,closed it, and the Auto-thing came up. i clicked "play delta force land warrior". everythings ok,the windoe opens and everything, btu then it goes straight to the screen like i didnt have the CD in and update and single player and online are grey,just like i didnt have the CD in. help please.

If you have more then 1 cd drive try the other one... or in your dflw folder open the file dflw.cd with notepad and change it to your cd drive.. backup the file first as I dunno if that will work.

last resort download the no cd patch from here.

EDIT: and i dont have another CD drive.

1.) Start>run> chkdsk /f ......a window will come up wait a sec then press Y hit enter reboot.

then try to play it again using the Cd in the tray.

if it don't work do the next step.

2.) your diviers for your cdrom you need to go into SYstem contour panel look the drive up (C: ) then go update the driver for it let it search for it, be online too.

it happen to me some times too, i'll restart the system think it a bad bootup and not all the drivies get loaded up. happen a lot trying to play a Cd or a DVD in the tray tell me to load a cd in the tray it already in there. i restart seem to temp fix.

I never go off of the auto run, you could try going into your Novalogic folder and just making it a shortcut, which is what most of us probably do, I don't know if that would help the problem though

try closing the auto run and open DFLW from the start menu since theres a shortcut there from when you installed the game. i had that problem too and i did this and it worked fine

OH great aonther problem... i got it working, but any time i go to join a server i get a sysdump.exe error. i am getting on by going to explorer and clicking dflw.exe. could that be the problem?grr.

thought you sugested making a shortcut to the directory itself. my bad, sorry lol

I would reinstall the game completly(delete the game directory itself after uninstall) if i were you, sounds like you have a corrupted file. what mods are you using if any? the suggested order to install the mods are:

1. DF: LW Expansion Pack (EXP)

2. DF:LW EXP Fix

3. DF2 Objects to DFLW

4. Task Force Dagger Items to DFLW

5. DFTFD Terrains to DFLW

6. DF1 Terrains for DFLW A

7. DF1 Terrains for DFLW B

8. 666 mod

Be sure to update the game before installing any mods, as well as add the no-cd patch before. ive reinstalled many times following those steps and have had no trouble at all.
