Artic Wolf has made some excellent maps particulalrly for thre Land Warrior series:)!!!!

I think Con would have to get my best LW mapper vote, as far as overall mapping. There are some people who get lucky with one or two maps...

Perigrine Falcon gets a close second. He's been the most visionary mapper the DF series has ever seen, and has built some amazing structures. The simple fact that he can even put together some of these maps is nuts.

I liked the "Tin of" maps. Excellent for CQBs, Gunners, and snipers. :D

My least favorite is a guy called DC...what awful, terrible, ill thought out maps. Yuck!

i must say i love some of the ATO maps, shame that some of them were just copied and then renamed with ATO infront

DF Ain't Quake. That was a good one. Church of Destruction too. Yeah that was good. Still plays on a LOT of servers that one.

there was a few very talented map makers around in the LW period, when the MED was poo and editing was done by real men ;) :

Smokin - A Bridge too far, other cool structures, custom terrains
Kip Kilagan - custom structures, all around excellent maps
Flint - UFO Encounter, Gladiator Arena, stuff that noone else had ever done
Life of Agony - Excellent maps, had a talent for editing and modding DF games
AceMan - customised structures, crazy and unique maps
Arctic Wolf - da best coops in town ;)
Scorpion - custom structures

I remember kip...he was a good guy. Heh, I remember when he was a noob asking me "How do you do this?" :D

Ace was a great mapper. I wonder how he's doing. Elitemaps hasn't been updated for 2 years, almost the same for his hosting site too. Wonder what happened to him :|

Perigrine Falcon & DC Scout 67 are the all time greatest land warrior map makers around, the objects and buildings they made just amaze me.

just keep adding LW, BHD, etc nominations or we'll have brand new threads for each of the series ;) lol
