BHD hosting problem.
 

A friend of mine is having trouble hosting BHD on his pc because after running 3 maps or so he gets thrown out of the game back to his desktop and then he finds his desktop resolution has changed.

No matter what settings he tries to use the same things keeps occuring. He's recenlty upgraded his graphic card drivers and he's done a pc rollback to it's original factory condition but the problem still happens so my question is, has anyone else experenced this and if so is there a solution?

No Steve it can happen on any map and usually after he's run 3 maps? I was just talking to him on the phone and told him I ask on here so any ideas please?

hmm maybe something is overheating.
i guess he could check his cpu temp in the bios just after it crashes. i'm not sure how u can check vid card temp without touching it ;)

but if it works for other games... :/

I've told him to check that out Steve so thanks for the tip and he's trying out one or two other ideas to try and solve the prob:)!

It sounds like he's having some process startup. When windows tries to update, the antivirus decides it's going to do a scan, or some such application, it usually throws me out of a game and changes my resolution. So, you might have him check that.:)

Not just nortan, any firewall could be stopping something ;)

erm might just be bhd playing up with hosting.... I recon you should goto condascode.com and download the BHD Server Manager and Set your games up in there then join BHD like u wud normally... Works fine when i do it :)

I don't mean blocking it Tecoma, I just mean another program starting up. For instance, my anti virus is set to auto update at 8:30 am. When it hits 8:30, the program turns itself on and pops up a window. If I happened to be playing LW at that time, my game might stutter and may even throw me out. Usually if its a serious program popping up, like an actual virus scan, then it throws me out completely and changes my resolution.
