Getting the game to play in 1280x1024
I just finished building my new puter and install BDH+TS. When it first started it passed all the tests but failed the 1280x1024. Now I know my 6800Ultra can more than handle 1280x1024. So how can I unlock this setting?

I doubt you would want to use that setting res. in the game. Everything will be too small for you to see. I myself use 800x600 in the game. Helps to see things better. I'm not sure why it would have failed, maybe it can't handle that res. with all the settings on high.

i use 1024x768 for my it runs good.
but going pass that point is really not needed unless you using a big screen LCD or some thing in that line as in flat HDTV montor. 3'ft x 4'ft screen or bigger i can see this is a good thing. |
im pretty sure it was your monitor that failed that res. if you got a good video card, but im no expert

I dont understand. I have a 17" samsung flat panel that has a native resolution of 1280x1024. My background settings are at 1280x1024. And I have the top video card on the market right now. IMO the games video card or whatever detector is jacked :( Well looks like I'll have to check with nova.

ehhh..nova won't help IMO. But you can try.

I thought about trying the 1280x1024 when I installed BHD but decided against it. Everytime I change the res (for any reason) it seems like all sorts of stuff 'goes south' on me. So I just opted to install at the default res. Game looks great, plays great, and I'm killing bad guys. As Fonz would say, "Heyyyyy!"
And I agree with Edge. Good luck getting any help from Nova. They're much too busy... |
i have 1280x1024 also as setting but not for the games just use 1024x768 orso.
The way you play the game is not by the resolution, and it will only lag your screen if you put a high resolution. You might have a top of the bill vidcard, but playing online sends so much data to your vidcard that it could be causing screen lag |

1) Find your BHD folder. By default it is in C:\Program Files\Novalogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down. 2) Open up dfv.cfg in the folder with something like notepad, or wordpad. 3) Scroll down to the section where you see all the resolution numbers. Next to the part that says 1280 x 1024 = 0 Chane the 0 to 1. 4) Save it with the name dfv.cfg with the setting "All Files" This should allow you to select that resolution without having to pass the test, but i don't know how it will work in-game.
