Can't adjust rifle zoom
 

Dunno, it's weird... Just installed Jops and updated it (had problems using the update so I got it from good ol' DF-HQ =) ) Neither the mouse scroll bar OR the assigned [, ] work, they work when you want to switch weapons, but as far as adjusting the zoom goes... No good.

I've triple checked the controls and have even reset them. The controls are clearly shown as mouse wheel up/down and [, ].

This is the only game I have the problem with... Even Black Hawk Down runs like a champ. Any ideals?

I'll Email Nova as well, but I figured I'd ask here since it will probably take a week to get a reply from them, lol.

the latest JO patch disabled sniper zoom.

but in the latest patch they are enabling it as a server option

Yeah, it's true I didn't use the search, I never even thought of it... I suppose the reason for that being that there are so few topics.

Also, I never would have expected for it to be disabled... I mean why in the hell would it be? Unless there's some glitch or something with the zoom, I see no reason for it to be disabled...sniping is not sniping without it, lol.

Ya know... Just ignore that last reply... I have no right to question such features when I am yet to play Jops, lol.

It's just that Jops seems more open than BHD, more like LW and TFD, so the first thing I did was load up sniper with an M82A1. (it's still not back yet =(
And obviously the first thing I noticed is that there was no zoom... So forgive me for speaking as if I playt Jops, lol.

nova removed the sniper zoom as a counter measure to limit snipers (since there was over 500 posts oing up a month by the public complaining about too many and to do something) so they removed it and now they get 500 posts complaining about removing it.. guess you can please people.. atleast with this new server side every1 will be happy..

Ahh, so that's what's going on, eh... What a shame. Guess I'll go back to Medic.
