testing them Maps without hosting them online.
 

you like to test your map without being online you can do it by going to host option were it says "Novaworld" change it to "lan Ip" now you start hosting it normal only your not online doing it. old trick in the book not many know it.
if there anything bad use mission editor to fix it and exit out then go back to that map reload it again. work for DF: LW/TFD/BHD-TS

Usually, to save myself the hassle of doing that at all, I just make all my maps single player to start out with. Then, once I've got everything in place, I just add the multiplayer game types.
