Big boost for fair play

Quote from Gabe Newell of Valve software:

Quote:

We've started taking legal action against cheating (cheat-sites, cheat creators,...) both in the US and abroad. This is in addition to the on-going investments in anti-cheating technology.
Let's hope other companies follow Valve's tactics

It sounds good, But can you Imagine the Judge Saying " On the night in question, you were seen jumping 30 feet in the air still shooting your weapon, Also seen Running through solid walls. How do you Plead? Guilty or Not Guilty?".

I cant wait for how the news and papers would cover a story like it, Its like one of the things you would read in the Daily Sport. lol

All Ill Say Is GIVE EM LIFE, LIFE I SAY!!!!! :D

I think the best way around Trainers is for the Actual game companys to release them, But as soon As someone runs it it deletes everything on their HardDrive.

At least it would make them think Twice next time. ;)

Some software companies used to do that back in the Commodore 64 days... make an illegal copy and your bona fide copy goes down the toilet. It didn't take some consumer groups long to classify such an action as a VIRUS. So- they had to stop. But still... a delicious idea. Cheat- and your game gets erased. Love it. Commit fratricide twice in one game, and your cpu blows up... think of it.

In a way editing game files and making third party programs is against the TOA on the Nova login area and on novaworld. IF it says there that u r forbidded to use them bla bla bla. If caught that person should b prosecuted (not jailed but fined by Nova or any other company) at the end of the day its editting game files with Non Offical tools and using them for the wrong use, the game is copyrighted so that means the game files are also.
