i DLed 3 DFLW maps mazze stadium and skybattles i was wondering how these maps where tested stadium had no spawns mazze had floating objects all 3 had flashing/misaligned objects

Rated by ss only now.. New map db is coming soon.

ok maps shouldnt be rated at all if the SS is all that is looked at ever hear "you cant judge a book by its cover"?

Its all about time, the people that rates maps have other things going on in their lives and arent on the site 24/7....

Weve always amintained that people should doenload the maps and form opinions for themselves and not rely on our opinion exclusively

Like P said, there is a new system coming out soon that will help rectify this 'problem'....

well id rather not have a rating at all then

how can u get an accurate rating through the screen shot?

how can u find clitches, find flicker, test playablity, find out if the map is even finished, by looking at the screenshot?

im sure 20-30 objects placed right and a good screen shot taken of them could get a 5 rating

and an awesome map with a bad screenshot could get a 2

on the rating it should say screenshot rating

Im here 24/7 :D i can help out if needed after the end of this week, exams finished :D

Trust me, I have reviewed over 3,000 maps. Loaded them up, walked through them all, written a personal review and added them by hand. I am not up to do that anymore. It take to much time. And now that we recieve many more maps it would be even harder.

We will rate by the screenshot for now, when the new system is out you will be able to rate the maps.

I thought that map team did the reviews...

Was talked about but nothing really happened... lol. But i`d still like to help over summer as well, it gets boring around here :)

someone always complains.

review maps = map makers complain it takes too long to get the maps up on the site

stick maps on the site within an hour = we're in the wrong again

Guess theres no proper way to get it to please every1 :( , a note could be added if the review system was to come back, "Please not it may take up to 48 Hours to add your map due to Staff having to find time to review your map"

There could be an option / box to tick

1. Rate By Screenshot
2. Get reviewed.

IMO , i dont mind whatever makes DFHQ Staff smile :)

im not worried about how long maps take to get on the site or to be reviewed im taking about maps getting erronous ratings

do staff have to rate it in order to place a map on the site?
or can they just place it, without rating it?

if you all like to have help in viewing maps and making a report on how good they really are, i be more then glad to help it out do to i have all the games instill on my system. DF: 1/2/LW/TFD/BHD/TS i would like to pass on DF1 thu it a crazy way one has to instill the map into the game i have no ID how to do it. i search for any bugs in the map. only give a helping hand in it.
