NovaHQ 3D Mark 2001 SE League
The Gamers Benchmark 3DMark®2001 SE Pro (build 330) is the latest installment in the popular 3DMark series. By combining DirectX®8.1 support with completely new graphics, it continues to provide benchmark results that empower you to make informed hardware assessments. The game tests, texturing tests, filtering tests, image quality tests, and others give you an overview of your system’s current performance and show you what kind of performance you could expect if you were to upgrade your PC. with one set of specs you could over clock a hell of a lot. e.g. my cpu is running 35% faster than it should! and is around 40 degrees celcius, so there is a lot more to come out of it yet :D i had to shell out for a good motherboard and ram that are build for overclocking. so in this respect overclocking is not risky. if you have a new barton that is "super locked" then there is a nice trick where by you get a 9v battery and short out some connectors just to enable it to be overlcocked at all! certainly not someting i would test out. if you're interested join up to a site like http://www.overclockers.co.uk which has every piece of information about anything hardware related, and seeing as there is about 500 ppl in the forums at any one time you usually get an answer to your post in minutes. but it can be worth some reading when you end up "getting something for nothing" like a 30% speed increase in your processor speed :) |
