video card problems
 

I wondering if anybody was having video card problems. I have a radon 9200 and can't get the game to work. It loads up fine and all the menus work but after it loads the level the monitor goes in to power saver mode and if it doesn't freeze up completely the the resolution and color get screwed up and I have to reboot. Does anyone have any Ideas why this would happen?

thanks for the help. I had the newest drivers, so I turned all the settings down to low an now it doesn't freeze up but the screen is just black. I geuss I'll just have to wait for the full game and hope it works.

I have had the same problem with the 9200 and after reading the Novaworld forum, I believe it is specific to the 9200. I have tried 4 different drivers and a slew of resolution sand vid card settings.

i had the same problem so i updated my drivers, reinstalled directx, and wacked all the settings down as low as they can go and it works now for me. with the occasional crash (1 out of 20 times of loading or so).

I reloadedthe drivers that came with the card and I no longer crash. Radeon 9200 128mb

i have the same problem.I have the ATI radeon 9200 256mb and when it loads right before it put's me in the game on Joint ops.demo the svreen goes blank.The first thing i see is.Micosoft windows detected and recovered from a device failure,Please save your work and reboot to restore funcionality.I reboot then my screen is blury,I have to do a system restore to get it back to norm.??Do i need a different game card now?

I found this in the Novaworld forum. It worked for me too. It's worth a try.:)

Thanks for eveybodys help. I reinstalled the drivers and drectx and it seemed to work.

they are working on the game trying to make the water look better, its in the testing phase so hold off on your video card, it not a bad thing to see if there new update for it. if no update hold off and wait they doing a new update on the JO Beta Demo now it maybe up again next week some time or this weekend

I tried to update from ati once.Those are not tested windows updates it messed with my windows xp-pro i had to uninstall the xp and reistall it.Hence back to where i started.I'm just gonna get the Gen force 5200 256mb and go from there.If you guys know anyone who wants a ati 9200 pro 256 mb get ahold of me.

What do you guys think of the GeForce Fx 5700 256mb?

I tried the 4.3 catalyst update from ati.Didn't work so i deleted the drivers and went to the 4.1 catayst and tadda runs sweet now! I have the ati 9200 256mb
