2003 Has been a big year for DFHQ, we take a look back at the major events and some useless facts of 2003

January:
January saw the end to the massive problems DFHQ had with hosting when it was transfered to its own dedicated server and to this day there have been no hosting problems since.

Febuary:
DFHQ officially announced that it would start running for the first time its very own tournaments. Now the 2nd series of tourneys is coming to an end and you can look forward to more in 2004. Thanks to KillerBee for his help with the tourneys, stay safe!

March:
March saw the beginning on arguably DFHQs' most used feature, its public sig hosting. Because the sigs were reset, we cant really give a true figure of how many are hosted.

The long awaited new Novalogic game Delta Force: Black Hawk Down was released

April:
Many records were broken during april at DFHQ, a record was set for the amount of user on the forums at once with 91 and also we reached 2000 forum members! BHD also officially made it to Number 1. StevieB won the Novalogic fansite competition with http://bhd.dfhq.net/

May:
The big news of May was the introduction of the DFHQ sig team. These are a buch of volunteers who donate their time to making sigs and images free for users. Thanks to all the past and present sig team members for your work! To date the sig team has made about 500 sigs and images for people!

June:
Novalogic announces for the first time its official addon pack for BHD called Team Sabre

July:
Novalogic announces its new game Joint Operations
The number of users online got up to 136!

August:
In an effort to stop Tril from spamming, DFHQ released a new feature the DFHQ Arcade!! Currently we have 17 games. One user from the *PR* Squad has spent 2571 hours and played 300 games!

August also saw DFHQ turn 2 years old! and this time we didnt forget it and it was celebrated by giving it a whole new design!! The Banner Exchange was also added for the first time

September:
August bought in a new era for squad sites with the release of Panther's Simple Squad Site, now anyone could run a squadsite without knowing HTML!

DFHQ also reached its 3000th member!

October:
A totally custom coded php backend by Panther for DFHQ was released, this means users can sign up once for everything instead of having multiple accounts. This also made things easier to run for the Admins cause the load can be shared.

November:
Simple Squad Site 1.2 was released adding more features

December:
dfhq.net Opens Hardware Reviews Section

Some Stats and figures
This year DFHQ received over 81.5 million hits! (100 million in 2004?)
The most popular month was April with 11 million hits, this co-incides with the release of BHD
The least popular month is December with just over 2 million hits
Close to 200 users have a dfhq subdomain url
A rough count says we have about 2800 maps for download
Approximately 49 million files served
Approximately 6000 gigs transfered
About $1500 spent on hosting
The forum database contains 63.5 milion bytes or approx 80megs of data.
