Serious Question For all sig makers...
 

i'm thinkin of buyin a domain from my friend and make a sig hosting site. Where you can buy a package, upload files, and manage 'em

the prices i was thinkin are

5 MB Free

20 MB $1.99/month

50 MB $4.99/month

100 MB $9.99/month

for me it will cost $20 a minth

what i need to know is would anyone consider using this service?

Well here is the truth, free 5mb account no one will buy a package...

no u will have unlimited bandwith, i will pay for that

bustin u think that with a free 5mb account that no one will buy....

how many sigs can u host on 5 mb

i just realized how much 5MB is so i will give 1 MB free

1 meg free still is way too much m8 you will get 1000 free accounts and no one signing up...

100 k max.. that is like 2-4 sigs

To put this in perspective for you someone could host 500-900 avatars with a 1 meg free account...

If you want to make a 1 meg maximum to allow large detailed sigs then make sure you set a file limit as well. Suggested limit would be 5 files. 1 meg. max for space.

Still, my honest opinion...

100 k. 1 file limit 100 k for a sig is overkill as it is. No one person needs more than 1 sig. If they want more they can register.

Track your free accounts by IP DNS Addresses! So people cannot register twice!

I still don't see why people would EVER pay for sighosting. There are sooo many places that offer it for free (like domaindlx 100mb's and unlimtd bndwth for free). it's like trying to sell air, why buy it when you don't need to

what is their GAURENTEED uptime for their server
i can gauruntee a 99.9% up time

I see where your going with this Wf but it sounds kinda risky ,Im like Blue print on this one .......who would really pay for it unless their new to the graphics world most peeps know where to get free webspace so I would really think about it if thats all your gonna do with it. ya, like what blueprint said, domaindlx is good. but, they're down some of the time... u can tell when it's down b/c me and blueprint's sigs are that friendly little X. i also found this submitweb.biz or something like that, it was unlimited space AND bandwidth, but uh... their server was slower than the $hit coming out of a constipated person not using laxatives.
