Far Cry!
 

I've just played the single player demo of this game and it is superb ! Graphics are outstanding as is the sound quality and the over all game play. If the full game is anything like the demo then I for one will be buying it!

Has anyone else seen this demo yet? U.K. players can get it from PCformat magazine on their DVD disc version, I would really recommend getting hold of a demo if you can!

Far Cry is a nice game. ive played it, and the gameplay is nice the effects are spectacular. and the ragdoll effect well lets say amazing.

And wait till you see MOH Pacific Assault, now that game is going to be awesome.

Yes I love the game, Really cool, There are a few mods for the demo a stunt island ect at the link below. Im glad BadDog you just reminded me I have the demo on that mag. I downloaded the demo the day it was released and deleted it in a re-install of my system. :)

Well I got an email this morning telling me that Far Cry is on sale now so I think it's time to psend some cash and see what the full game is like:)!

the full game is sweet. im on the map were the sp demo started. and at the top of the mountain were the boat is shooting rockest and mortar fire at me. the carrier level was fun especially the last part of it.

i love the ai they work together and you can hear them giving out commands.

im just enjoying hte sp right now, will get into the mp soon enough.

the 180 page manual for the map editor gets me.lol
I havent got the game yet, But the manual for the editor is on FC`s hompage.

i finally got around to play the demo, and it looks reaallly nice!

I bought the full game yesterday and it is most excellent! Fantastic graphics and good game play on the single player game and the multiplayer gaming is great too, over all a very good game but I'm still awaiting Joint Operations to see how the two games compare.

This game is probably one of the best I've ever played on, it's a pity the story line for the single player mission has been done so many times before but other than that, an excellent game well worth having in your collection.

OK i've had both for awhile now, and to be ohnest I play BF:v alot more than farcry. I enjoy playing multiplayer and farcry MP isnt doing anything for me, not many servers and alot of them are laggy. maybe i'll give it awhile for more people to get involved. Anyways, BF:v is awsome, its got a very good feel of depth in alot of the maps. graphics are nice, and the Music!!! wow thats an awsome feature, Saying your cruising in a Huey or a Jeep why not slap on "Wild Thing" to jam to :cool: plus theres alot more to choose from. The one thing which really bugs me with it though, is the damn "G.I." women in the City maps, man i wish she'd shut up. You'd know what im talking about if you played the game :p

I bought Far Cry a couple of days before the super pc arrived.
I have had so much to do I havent played it much until tonight I whipped through a couple of levels.
BADDOG is right in that the story line has been done before.
HalfLife had aliens from another dimension (as did Doom before it) and Geneticly created creatures loose on paradise islands?
Well I have seen a German MOD for FarCry that has dinosaurs on it so the leap of faith has already taken there.

In fact though it doesnt matter if the story has been done before, its the performance that immerses you and I am really enjoying the Far Cry experience.
Not certain it was worth paying two and a half grand for, but hey I can play other games on this machine too can't I?

I certainly hope you can play other games on your new PC ZZA lol, look out for the expansion pack for Call of Duty due out in October this year.

:| EXPANSION for FAR CRY? HECK YAH! That game is awesome I got it a week or two ago, 5 freaking cds. I am trying to figure out how to use the SandboX editor. Too bad my friend's machines cannot support it, or we could LAN. (suckers.)

Problem is I thought my card would run it better, but it isn't. I will have to "tweek" it. Only thing I have turned up as far as quality goes is the water, and it looks awesome!
