WTF Steam?
Pre Ordered F1 2010 on steam, so i got to pre-load it ready for the release.
According to the steam store page, there was an hourly count down, and it would be ready around 2:00am here in the UK. 7:00am... nothing? fml. |
hehe <3 STEAM
let us know how thw game is, will probably get it. |
they finally unlocked it at around 4.30pm, i imagine once they'd strolled into the office, had a cup of coffee and finally f**ked up.
Its really good, definatly seems to keep in the spirit of F1. I can even run it on full graphics on my now 2 year old card which im damn happy about. Havent tried multiplayer yet, but hope to soon with my mate. |
i hate steam. i can't even play css or tf2 anymore for some damn mystical reason. i cannot connect to their server database or some nonsense
and their techsupport is ran by monkeys |
just finishing off my F1 download now :D
Virgin media capped me after i went over their limit, which on my 10Mb connection takes about 20 mins haha. and i wasn't watching it closely enough. so i left it on overnight... and my PC decided to hibernate :< game looks great though. |

Steam has always cost me and worried me, why did I use it in the first place. I bought a game CD that wouldn't let me use it without steam. Didn't even have the net then so here I am on the net and cursed with steam all because of that fateful day and can't even remember the name of the thing, Racing cars of some sort. NFS......

I'm with you Stomp...after what you and many others say about steam why bother at all.....Duh aint rocket science!!!!!!...wait an see!!!

They lock you in at purchase, I bought the original DVD game in question at a Game Traders store, and not from the web as a download so they are a bit sly.
