The old codger who's pushing this is about 99 years old owns 99 radio stations and going bust, he did this 8 years ago when he only owned 62 radio stations, so it paid off, and is trying it again, don't blame him really ...it works...lol

My feelings on this is ... the guy may have good intentions and all, but what he says isn't biblical.

Matthew 24:36:
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. "

So, if this guy says he knows the actual day and hour then does it make him higher than the angels (the same spiritual level as god) ?

People have been predicting the end of the world for centuries and we're still here.

Like Mermite said, there could be a scam here !
What really bothers me is that there are people who who have given up their homes, entire life savings and their jobs because of what he predicted.

My friend has this 100% faithful Christian for a friend. I told him to ask his friend how the Rapture went....he wouldn't do it, lol.

Well just cuz you're christain doesn't mean you believe that it was going to happen... just read Matthew 24:36 like Dave said. ;) God didn't even tell his own son when it was suposed to happen, so why the hell would he tell us?

I can't stand large religious groups like that... that's all it is to them, a religion... Christainity is NOT a religion.

And that's why I stick to agnosticism :gj:

I still prefer the Mayan 'DOOM' story they were a very aggresive tribe that didn't take NO for an answer, had a calender that ran for 5000+ years and on the 21 DEC 12 it runs out,
NO messing around these guys say it will flood the earth, just like the Noah! story and ...doom and kaput for all....blah blah etc etc...

I don't think it'll happen. just because the calendar ends on that date, doesn't mean it will happen. maybe they just decided that it was time to stop making the calendar. also, on every cell phone with a calendar, it goes past the date of the supposed "Doomsday." Thus meaning that people obviuously found a pattern within the calendar system.

Returned, I have.

Imagine that they are predicting a longer cycle, not measured in years as our current versions. Our calendars end in December! Every Year!

Side Note: There must be a lot of pineapple juice flowing for free in some parts of the world.
