Microphone
 

Hi all got new pc but 1 major problem :(

It wont pick up sounds in the ,icrophone 9and yes i did plug it in)

I have latest drivers for audio card.

Its a Legacy audio card i think ... any ideas??

start > control panel > sound and audio >

audio > check the 'sound recording device' is your sound card

voice > as above



under 'voice' you can click the 'test hardware' button. this has helped me in the past :)

ok i can hear myself on speakers but it ont actually pick the sound up in the hardware test or ventrilo or sound recorder.. freaky lol

Ok try this double click on you volume control Icon in your tray (down by the clock).

Under Microphone click on the Advanced button.

Where it says Other Controls check both boxes.

1 Mic2 Select
2 MIC Boost

fixed :) just changed it from microphone to inline :D

LMAO he forgot to change one thing LMAO, spent about 5 min trying to help him

ye ye 5mins..lol u helped me earlier (didnt help :P lol) and that was 30mins :P...

Also Make Sure in Volume Control That It Doesent have Mute All Checked or The Mute Checked under Microphone like in Chiefs Box LoL He Was Probaly Doing That to show yall his pic.
