Where or how do you make the cool backgrounds in sigs like mine?

where are some good sig making tutorials? I have photoshop 7


If you have a picture and it has a background Ex: Rush Limbaugh sitting in his office, how do you get rid of the office but still have Rush Limbaugh without having to take the time to erase everything or use that ****ed up magnetic lasso thing.

I tried out some stuff, what do you guys think of these?

Not bad for a beginner. Hell I can't say anything I don't make sigs.Great job!

Really try not to use pictures that are already on the net. Just expirement with diff textures and brushes and layer styles and filters

why?

1> It takes absolutly no creativity at all. An image is placed before you, you put one filter on it and slap your name on it.

2> It's stealing other people's images.

3> You won't get any respect from and other sig designers out there. I mean look at darckchaos, kamikaze, and stevieB, all of them make their own backgrounds and their own borders.

also, you said how do you MAKE backgrounds. A BG is considered(at least to me) the contents of the sig that doesn't include the name or bordre, what you did was take someone's images and put your name on it, basically you "ripped" the sig. you didn't make the background.

calm down bro. Just letting you know the facts. a lot of times for sigs, people will make the entire background (without any pictures). And yes, you did "rip" the photos. You didn't take them, or make them yourself. So before you get your panties all in a bunch and spit out fightin' words (and stupid smilies) know somethin'.
