Not able to join all of a sudden - all DF games...
 
Not sure what is up but...I cannot join any DF games for about two days now. My connection is through Steam. There are others with this problem. Steam says contact the developer/maker. Emailed away, no response. The problem happens (I usually play BHDTS multiplayer) after selecting Multiplayer>Join...the DF logo appears but it never gets to the login page, it just hangs for a while (still have mouse control) then the white page saying ERROR the page cannot be displayed with the option to retry selected link or return to previous page.

This affects LW, TFD, BHD and BHDTS. My DF2 actually does work (as long as I don't get the height map error; this is unrelated - so I don't play that one). DF1 no servers.

I am able to see servers online, but they seem highly underpopulated - is this because the Steam accounts can't get in?

Finally, when I click on Misc>BHDTS through NOVAHQ it gives me the HMMM Can't find this page error.

I have cleared all my caches a few times now, can't think of anything that was changed on my end to affect this. Multiple internet connections tried all with the same result.

Suggestions?

I was in a TDM today, used the startup file replace thingy and was able to get a few in. Other servers with peeps in them no luck though.

Was told to get the DFBHD pinger and I have, this will work even with all the nova down>?? Haven't sorted that one out yet...

yeah, the community lobbies do work. i used the evo one for DF2 last night. its the same as the one here at novahq.

hopefully THQ will reset them, otherwise i will host my joic coop on gameranger.

Yes the pinger works. I used it earlier this evening. Here is a link for all active servers so that you can take their IP info. If you do not know how to add the IPs I will provide a youtube link for you to use.

Either here on their website, you can do it without choosing a game from the drop down list of games

i just tried it and instead of the screen I have been getting the last 2-3 days and remember before that, it just get stuck on loading to the ID and Password log in screen

But there is no support@novalogic.com anymore, it's all gone to THQ Nordic who bought out Novalogic years ago in 2016

Now 3 hours after I posted that update above, it's no longer giving me the ID and Password log in screen or giving me any screen messages.

It's just BACK to stuck on Connecting To Novalogic after I press M for MultiPlayer.

By the way, when I posted that update above 3 hours ago, I also posted the same update in several threads on of the Novalogic Novaworld2 forum.

Now the Novaworld2 forum also no longer comes up.

Now it's back to stuck on Connecting To Novaworld after I press M. No ID/PW screen. No big gray background screen with error message written on it.

Been playing it since Delta Force 1 in 1999. Used to play online in those days using just a dial up.

Sad to see it end without even an official announcement or heads up.

I also noticed they made several of the Novaworld2 forum not viewable anymore for "guests" if you don't have a Novalogic account to log into.

I notified them and they are trying to fix the issue. As it has been awhile, they may be waiting on parts.

OLD BLUE forwarded me an email showing ANOTHER member sent them an email yesterday and received the same stock reply back today

I asked if they were closing DFX or for an eta on when fixed. Here is the reply: Thank you for the mail.

We will forward your request to our Production department.

Unfortunately we don't know anything about future fixes but any client request and feedback about our titles are taken seriously and will be debated.

It's been down since about September 11th.

So it has been a month this time.

The other outage before that was on July 12th and it lasted 10 days to July 22nd.

Does anyone have free international long distance or live in Europe and can call THQ Nordic and ask.

Maybe over the phone they'll be more candid and less liable to reply with one of two stupid scripted response emails.
