Yes its standalone, oh you dont need to buy it when I bought it you get 3 guest key codes so you can play for 24 hours without paying anything.

Is that play for a 24hr period from code activation or 24hrs in total....like an hour or two here an hour or two there? What if I like it? MMMM OK as long as I don't have to give them any personal data yet....I don't trust much these dayz LOL

I looked around the forum for the instructions on how to use the guest pass here is the info, Ill send you the pass and other info in a PM buddy... :)

You need the guest pass and the email which was used to purchase the game.

1. Download the installer file. (Here: http://www.thewarz.com/download/)
2. Run it and follow the instructions.
3. Enter the guest pass and the email from the person who gave you the guest pass
4. Create an account, use your email address
5. Download the game

not sure about your PC mate, It does run pretty good on my Laptop with onboard graphics on high graphics settings.

MMMMM just for a 24hr guest intro, the eula/license agreement was in 2 parts and exceptionally long and convoluted, didn't like the sound of a lot of it especially this bit.

If I had a sh*t Laptop/pc I'd go right ahead but gee mate, this scanning for my software versions as well as threats to them or game cheats is darn suspicious to me.

This is why the idiots should all make demos so people can check it out without all this commitment and access to your data even before you sign up for anything.

Well, on the way to the login it installed DX9 - OK
Bing bar - not so OK

It installed an older version of C++ over my visual c++ installation....then, having to call a restore point I found it had negated that and installed without windows making one.

Not normal behavior, whenever system files are updated windows should make one, something told it not to.

I might have to wait and monitor the game's status for a while....please keep me updated

ARMA series not much chop anyway.

Not using their updater programs either manual install or nothing so it's nothing.
