This means you people with the "5 sec punt" problem should be fine.

after i updated, i get punted out of most ever map after about 1½. never happened before cant stay in a stat game anymore either becuase of it? happening to anyone else??

Reinstall directx 9. I updated and kept getting punted
until I reinstalled.

i havnt played since the 1.00.10 update kept locking up my comp after 1-3 minutes in the game ,,i just put the NEW update in ,and now it locks up my comp while looking at the server page ,now i cant even get to the games for the 1-3 minutes, is anyone else having this issue????i have never gotten punted ,it has either sys dumped,or now just completely locks up my system!!

uninstall the game then reinstall and before u start up the game install the patches

i had just reformatted, and have reformatted 4 prior times since i have been having these problems ,EVERYTHING is fresh and ALL my other games (6 other first person shooter games ,2 of which are based on the same engine as BHD,and none of which give me any errors) it is only BHD and it has only been since the 1.00.10 update,and the newest update, the errors are generated by something Nova changed in the game with the updates , i am about ready for a refund, i cant play the game at all unless i use the 1.005 update ,then everything works fine ,but then i cant play stat games ,because the way Nova does it if you dont update you cant play stats,just public,which was the whole reason i got the game ,to play stats,so the game is useless to me as it sits now!

well i had the punting problem and this l8est update 1.2.0.4 has fixed my problem...all hail to nova for sorting this out...

this was a nicely worded reply....see if you feel the same when ya disc gets scrathed and wont read in.......then again with that sorta attitude i dont suppose you'll care too much...:mad: and they wouldnt need the no cd crack if they hadnt got the game already would they...DOH..:confused:

Well with no help from Nova,i reformatted again(6th time) but this time i installed Direct X 8.1(instead of 9 ) and a older Nvidia driver # 30.82 for win 98 ,did the update from within the game ,and that seemed to fix my sys dump and freezing problems ,i still havnt gotten any replies from the 31 emails i sent support on those problems ,which i think sucks!,but i figured it out without them ,and its working now ,so at least i can play again!,,,,so if anyone is still having probs,try older drivers (i downloaded every driver Nvidia had for Win98,and just kept trying them till i found one that worked) and Direct X 8.1,i havnt tried to use the no CD since i got it working ,just gonna run off the CD till im sure it is going to run right,,anyway thought id let everyone know ,,who knows, it might work for someone else!

Well it is locking up Again,i have changed nothing ,all i did was try to play stat games (i played yesterday with what i had said in the post above this,,and didnt get any errors,i played for 5 maps ,not 1 problem),so i tried to play today and after waiting 3minutes for the "calculating ping times"to move from 0%, i got to the server page , i went into Blackhawk 1 ,and when i got into the game it locked up within 1 minute, yet the same setup worked fine yesterday, i have yet to recieve a reply from support from the now 32 emails i have sent , so either tomorrow,or monday (whenever i can get thru) i am contacting Novalogic by phone,and complain about the complete lack of support i have recieved,(or should i say NOT recieved ) and see if by phone they will do something to FIX this problem

JïmÐïr† try to get support of NOVA with the other email address, server@novaworld. I got a reply of NOVA from this address trying to solve my crasing BHD online game in the loading server list. They give me an advice on what to do to try to solve my problem. I didn't try to solve my problem yet but i will go to do what they told me as soon as i finish writing this post. So try to get support in the address above. I got a reply a day or 2 since i write them. Hope you can get support too.

i've sent 3 emails to the servers and 30 to support ,over the last 3 or so weeks,still nothing! (i have done it from Novas support page on their site and from regular email) i dont understand why they dont reply,,it kinda makes me mad (accually it really makes me mad) the game was working over the last few days since the 1.2.0.4 update,then today for no apparent reason it locked up ,but i had played 3 maps before it did this ,,i just want answers ,and Nova remains silent,it just aint right ya know!! maybe i should word the emails better ,as i've been pretty harsh on the last 20, but im gettin tired of sending and sending ,and getting NOTHING in return,,all i know is this games FULL of bugs ,and it shouldnt have been released till it was checked completely, (it needed to be checked with 98,XP,2000,,with different video cards,with different processors,to see if it would generate errors,but from what i've seen and heard ,all they did was box it up and collect the green),,none of the other DF's have had 1/4 the problems BHD has had,,they say its because its a different engine,is why their having issues,but SOF 2 is the same engine as BHD ,and it has NEVER givin me any problems,because they ran it thru every possible system and made sure it was right before they released it ,,what we have with BHD is a QUILT (full of patches),which makes us the troubleshooters and techs, well if im gonna do that then i should be getting paid, i dont have the mental composure to do all this reformatting all the time (6 times so far ,from errors caused from the game),because the game keeps screwing up ,why shouldnt we be entitled to a game that works ,,i thought thats what we paid for, i can accept a few bugs ,and i dont expect to like everything about the game ,but i expect it to work properly , not cause errors every week or every day ,no matter what is tried ,it works one minute then you close out the game ,go back into it and BANG another error! sorry but that aint right!,,if i could afford the phone call to Nova ,i would call ,as i have gotten 0 help from support!,,everyone here and on other forums have been a great deal of help ,if Nova put half the effort that the people who play the games do ,,it would be a fun game,and work right ,but the errors take ALL the fun out of it, every time i play ,im just waiting for the screen to freeze or a sys dump message to pop up...........sorry just venting!,,,,but yes i tried server support and regular support ,same nothing from both!
