crazy! mini f-14
|
lol, radio controled jets are crazy expensive, and i can easly see that guy putting $20,000 into that if not more..
those things arn't like other prop model plans .. they even have disk breaks on the wheels.. and when you see them fly up close, it looks so real, like there flying in the distance, the sound .. everything.. |
WOW thats amazing! do you know how much money that guy had to spend??? $$$$$$$$

i want one now, but i probably just crash it
|
Awsome!
|
That is freaking awesome.
Think, if you could just magnify that a few times. :) |
id fly it downtown and scare people, i bet its close to 50 grand right there stock.
|
a while back someone made a B52 bomber, and then crashed it. Apparently if you build these things you can help recoup your money because airshows will pay you just to see the thing....
Notice the guy walking with the fire extinguisher.... |

20k$ wow, id just build me a real plain fer that, like a sopwith pup or something.
|
betcha can build it cheaper than that.
Think that costs.... is the jets. |
i fly the model plans every now and then (prop not turbine) and looked into it ..
the turbine engine itself cost around 5k, and he has 2... the plane itself, just the bare fiberglass body cost around 2... then all the fancy things like disk brakes and retractable landing gear gets pricey ... the radio system can cost a couple thousand easy ... then you need a whole bunch of crap to start it with too ... |
I wonder if fiberglas would work if you increased the scale of like like 5 times :p
|
Mt m8's Dad actually designed one of the 1st model ac turbine angines with his brother (was called the Thorjet)....He reckons they're SOOO difficult to fly because u need to concentrate So hard otherwise they're out of site & gone. every time I went round his house his Dad was in his shed (carpeted and fitted out with kitchen units, benches, etc) no matter what time of night he was always in there........He even used to build prototypes in balsa wood form plans of the planes ..thne he'd take em to someone to make moulds of the plane so he could sell the body kits....
The only thing he REALLLY regrets is that he didnt patent his design & a company in the USA copied it & went on to make an absolute fortune!! crazy planes tho |
That is a truly awesome model:)!!!!
Regards      |
