What Mod???

After obtaining several maps and mods, I try to run some and they don't work. WTF??? What mods are required forcryin out loud?

For instance: I got that IC thing V1.1.3.0; English, Realism, V0.1.9.8; English and JO:Escalation. Esca;ation is fine. But I also noticed that the other two have a bunch of others that are listed as patches for the original release. Do I have to get them all to make these things work?

And why don't the map makers at least tell you what mod you'll need?

While I'm at it, what's with the enemy being able to see you on the other side of a hill. Or they know where you're going before you do! So far this game has pretty much p'd me off.

the AI in JO/DFX is awful, and is one of the reasons why I very rairly play coop.

As for the mods, you have to have the same mod and mod version as the server your trying to join. You can't play in a IC mod server running Realism.

And yes, if there is patches/updates for those mods, and if the servers are running them, then yes, you have to apply those updates also.

As for the map makers, i agree. its a pain to download several maps, and then find out its for a different mod all together.

Well, I can only find the following mods on-line:

1.) International Conflict (and I just got the latest update).
2.) Reality(also latest update).

Am I missing something? Are the latest mods available with a map designed on an older version? I'm a no figgurin it out!

JOTR you need:
1.) high end video card
2.) it is true that some map maker don't do a out standing job, they for the most never add-in a read-me file with all the details on what type of mods they are using.

old school a good map maker would at lease add a note what mods they have in when they made said maps.

no days any one downloads mods they have to do the math and try to Fugger out what mods they did use. you find this in a lot of games maps were they are custom made up.

with DF: Xtreme and JOTR/E they use what they can a anti-lag cheat tool online.

a lot of people are not to crazy about these two games any more.

My card is an nVidia GeForce6800. Is that good enough or too old? MoBo is an Asus w/AMD Athlon running at 2100, and 1Gb RAM.
Custom made mods and they don't tell anybody. That is pure genious! I used to make maps for DF2, DF:LW, DF:TFD and that was a cakewalk compared to this new(to me) NILE thingy.

WHEN I MAKE MAPS I ALWAYS SAY WHAT VERSION ITS FOR. I HAVE NOTICED THAT SOME OTHERS DO TO. SOMETIMES YOU CAN LEAD THE DONKEY TO WATER BUT HE NO DRINK.
