how do you slow down a cpu...?
you stupefy it by adding onboard graphics proccessor
simalar to putting a 200 pound rock in a foot solders back-
pack and marching him thru the desert... allthough the 2600 is hyperthreaded
all threads must deal with the integreated graphics
sorry man but intell had a brainfart on the 1155 socket processors...
dont know much about the socket 2011 yet been waiting for enough mobo's and stuff to come out
so i can properly study the specs

P.S. re intell 1155

i just purchased an asus sabertooth 990fx mobo and when i went to thier website to get driver updates there was a huge artical on the intell 1155
chipset issue apparently there was a design issue that affected certain sata channels and they had to( intell ) stop production and distrobution of the chipsets and recall the rest attached to mobo's or not and are working toward a replacement... that means if a customer experiences a problem in or out of warrenty that has to do with the design error the customer can get the mobo replaced...FREE accept shipping cost...the 1155 series cpu's have LESS features than the 1156 cpu's... much less than 1366 cpu's.. so if you see someone with 2 heads its just an intell employee with his head stuck up so far it appears he has 2 heads......:haha::haha::haha::haha:

The SuperMUC will have 147,456 cores and a peak performance of about 3 petaflop/s (=1015 FLOPS). The main memory will be 288 terabyte (=1012 bytes) together with 12 petabytes (=1015 bytes) hard disk space based on the IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) file system. The hardware will be based on the Xeon architecture . The system will use 18,432 Intel Xeon Sandy Bridge-EP processors running in IBM System x iDataPlex servers. It will also use a new form of cooling that IBM developed, called Aquasar, that uses hot water to cool the processors, a design that should cut cooling electricity usage by 40 percent, IBM claims

The "recall" from Intel about the new LGA1155 Sandy Bridge processors and the SATA 3.0Gbps degrading with usage over time, is with the P67 chipset on the motherboards, not the CPU?
Quote:

Yep, the issue is, as it is now, limited to ONLY the Intel SATA2 ports on the P67/H67 chipsets. The Intel SATA3 and the non-Intel SATA ports are not affected e.g. Marvell are fine.

So if you moved your HDD and ODD off the Intel SATA2 you shouldn't have any problems.

bigsmellyfart 07-21-2012 04:08 PM

i know but its only on 1155 mobo's
i was just saying that these guys at intell are going in
the wrong direction with thier head so far up it appears that they have two heads and micrsoft is running neck and neck and neck and neck with them....

also you dont want to move your hdd..you can get a free replacement in or out of warrenty...

i don't know
maybe they thinking cheaper is better lol
