Asswipe Hackers!
 

Hackers are at it again, big time on the DF1 side, This is a major problem for lots of teams. I have been in contact with Novaworld Tech(s) about this problem. They (NW) said they could ban cheaters/hackers on their hosted games only, (when caught) - on the public side we're on our own (Grrrrr!). One possible way to curve this is to host "Password" games only - I think this could work with trusted teams and allies. We (~FOX~) are going to try and work on this format of gaming. DF1 in my book is still one of the best and fun games to play.

sounds like the best way to keep hackers and cheats out of your server, but your server won't receive new players and the popularity could eventually drop.

is there no software for df1 that allows you to ban player ip's from your server? or did that only come out for LW
