Props for still using ME.

I have nostalgic love for Windows ME despite the rest of the world hating it. Perhaps it's because I never actually owned a PC that used it and only used it at my grandma's house every now and then. :)

I do hate Windows 8, though. The disconnect between the Metro thing and the desktop is maddening and dumb. I fear what the next release will look like.

windows me was a great os and you can get a app to install a start button in windows 8...
there at least half a dozen some free some not...

I finally put a 4 GHz FX-8350 cpu on my asus mobo ordered a couple of 3 TB HDD'S
learned how to install w7 and w8 on them and learned it makes 4 partitions in w8 and
3 partitions in w7 one 2.7 gb partition included... ordered 2ea 4 TB HDD'S but UEF partition's wont duel boot so this weak
end I will set back up a 4tb hdd with windows 8...I need very large drives for all my games
for starters 333 steam games and a dozen EA games and 30 bigfish games and 6 to 8 alawar
games and esp. all my nova logic games....

I still use Windows XP, and will continue to use it untill my computer really burns down. I do really detest windows 8, especially the metro interface. It seems like it's trying to bring in the smartphone feeling in an OS FOR PC.

The missing start button has been slain like a Dragon...Microsoft is pretty pissed off about it
so much so that they removed all legacy code before retail release... but that didn't stop the
Dragon Slayer...there about half a dozen apps the will restore the start button...some are free
and some are not but they are inexpensive... I like that w8 will play some of my older 16 bit
games where as xp and w7 would not
