COD: MW2 prestige edition...

$149.99 you get the collectors edition game in the metal case...and...a real working pair of NVG's.

were?

btw
do they still use laser targeting for training? for the Infantry units

Stephen 07-16-2009 10:20 AM

only in night combat and most units don't even know how to use it anyways much less with there NVG's on.

Mstenger404 07-16-2009 12:55 PM

i could imagine the set of NVGs it comes with are some low quality kinds, do you have a picture of them?

im a little concerned about the image the NVGs actually produce, i mean, for $150 you get the special edition of the game and those NVGS. where as i get on cheaperthandirt.com NVGs and NVmonoculars are ATLEAST $500!!

Stephen 07-16-2009 02:01 PM

the ones I use in iraq are over 3 grand and they still are not the best ones. even the crappy military grade ones are over a grand.

Mstenger404 07-16-2009 10:11 PM

well you know what, i guess the picture quality it produces doesnt matter to me, im not gonna buy a mil-spec NVG for 1 grand anywhay. this is certainly better than nothing.

-Tigger- 07-17-2009 03:57 AM

now the question is, are they real NVGs or is it just a mask with super bright LED's on it (from that video it looks like it...) which light up the area infront of u.. lol

Bustin 07-17-2009 08:29 AM

NVG's don't have to be super high tech. Throw some infrared lights on them, a couple mirroring lens to increase lens capture and you'll be able to see a good 40 feet in front of you. The infrared cameras we have at work are 79.99 a pop and they are high resolution and work awesome. My bet is those are infrared lights at the front, which wouldn't make them true NVG's, but still cool as hell for the civilian world because you're going to be able to see a good 25 feet atleast is my thought.

They should have a manual with chicks wearing them for basic training then the kids will pay attention! :naughty2:

Doesn't matter anyway, both NVG and light amplification systems suck donkey ass.. Try driving a vehicle with them and you'll see what i mean.. Depth perception is none to zero almost..
It's fun to to see people having a big mouth about it putting it on only to smack there head against the vehicle door.. ^^
