Editing Stock Maps
 

I know this has probably been posted a lot before, but how can I edit the stock maps that came with TFD?

or
make your own maps from scratch?

I wanna edit the stock maps that came with the game. Is it possible?

yup extract them from the PFF and then put them in your DF folder if you have done that right then you can extract them to a .mis file which you need to edit in the med. All needed stuff for it can be found @ this site.

in the .pff's the stock maps all have the file extention - .bms

the terrains for TFD and about half of the TFD map-making tutorials.

oops, yeah ima bit lazy with the terrian pages, mainly the fact that they are large files and i didnt want to use up much of dfhq bandwidth - with is np now so i will get them up.

the other tutorials are not finished, its just a guide to what i had planned on doing. now i know someone actually wants them i'll see what i can do
