You guys hear about this? Doesn't surprise me. Kinda annoyed they'd abandon their customers that purchased the TouchPad. |
Wow, abandon a line one month after it was launched, pretty incredible!

Kinda flopped like the Microsoft Kin did. Now days, people don't need a full on PC for their day to day tasks. A tablet or even a phone is good enough. My phone can browse the full web just as well as my pc can. My fiance has a LG tab that has replaced her laptop. Shes does not need a PC at all anymore. All the majority of people do online is shop and social media. What do they need a PC for?
|
True, most people don't really need one anymore.
I ended up getting the Xoom and iPad tablets. I thought I'd like the iPad better but the Xoom's starting to win my vote. Gotta love getting free stuff from work. |

they (HP) think they are microsoft or something. persistent ****e software and Partitions backup etc...rubbish. Everything HP I have had is nobbled and crappy especially their external Drives YUK! Good riddance I say! |
Hehe, I've gone to a lot of their re seller seminars where they push their blade servers and thin client solutions. Every single time I come away disappointed.
We prefer Dell servers anyway and blades are freaking expensive. |
I run two hp proliant switches at work and they are amazing. Two years now without the smallest issue and they both have a lifetime warranty. I've not been too impressed by their pc's though.

My very first PC was a Dell I now have great confidence in Giga..te and Nv...a Hardware for my builds. |
BTW, the TouchPad is on sell in some locations for $99 now. You can pick it up and put Linux or Honeycomb on it if you don't like their OS.
