Game: BHD
Scenario: I run a lan at home. I can play local BHD on it just fine. I can join and play BHD online just fine. I can host local BHD fine. But I cannot host BHD online. I know about port 17479. I have redirected the port to my pc's IP. Router is setup for static IP assignment. I have attempted to open the port on my pc, but I am not sure I did, I use Win XP and cant find anything to verify that port is open. I have downloaded the BHD Pinger and when I run it after starting a host session I can see my hosted online game in the public games area. Odd thing, I see my outside online IP (not my local IP which is understandable) but with some odd looking port number, i.e. 16362, or 16373, or 16379, well you get the picture, its not 17479. I am assuming that no one is joining my hosted game because of this port crap. Because when I uninstall the game and use the un-updated game I always get the max number of players to join my game. I would be happy with old version except the joining players start getting super high pings and eventually they all drop from game, EVERYTIME. Can someone please help, I use v 1.2.1.1 BHD:eek:
