Save file location.
 

I have to again download a BHD:TS because I am not able to use the MED. But I want my save file to be backed up. Where is it located?

All these are in the same folder as the game .exe:

dfvplr.sav contains player info, control remaps, and campaign progress.

dfv.cfg saves other game related stuff, but if you've never edited it, you don't need to back it up.

.bmx files are actual mission saves and they share names with various mission save thumbnail .pcx images.

And what for other DF titles?

.sav files for sure, .bmx files if you find them, .cfg and .pcx at your discretion. That's the best I can say, man.

Thanks, can someone help me in that TFD mission I'm making? BTW isn't there a .sav file in DF1?
