blackhawk delay

how do i delay a blackhawk from taking off/hovering ?

i have made a waypoint list for my blackhawk whit area trigger and it works, but the problem is that the blackhawk starts to hover as soon as the game starts.

is it possible to delay this ? so that it will only take off when i get in to the chopper?

Thank you !

Make sure you don't have the hover box checked under item attributes I have several maps with blackhawks an d they don't hover unless I check the hover box. I hope this helps you may have already done that if so and it still hovers I'm at a loss and not sure what to do with out looking and the MIS. file in the editor

You need to create an event using area triggers, its been a while so i may have the detail wrong but its something like

General Attributes, hover IS NOT checked and heli is in its own group

Set up 2 grouped area triggers that sit in the area of the blackhawk that you can sit in

Create Event along the lines of

WHEN
BluePlayer Enters Area Trigger #

THEN
Set Helicopter group speed to 20mph
Set helicopter to follow waypoint group

thanks for the info !

But i have solved it a little bit different, at the blue player start i have made a trigger that activates the first waypoint.
this waypoint is a short one and this is the blackhawk start point.
on activation the blackhawk will fly this very short waypoint and land and shuts down.

the mission waypoints will start from that point and i have placed a small area trigger under the blackhawk.
so when i get in the blackhawk it starts up and i am on my way.
