I wasn`t very impressed with the demo TBH.

It lags really bad.

The cool part is in the ships when you blow the reactors.

I concluded the serious lag in bf2142 was the pagefile usage.

I can tell other people are having it when they are moving while switching between sprinting and walking without even moving their legs.

bf2 and 2142 chew up around 1gb or more on my machine. i guess when it thinks its time to switch to my other stick of ram it just lags and uses the pagefile


when me and my friend were lanning with bf2, thered be a place where id lag extremely bad, and i look at his screen and hes doin just fine maintaining 60fps and his rig is weaker than mine. i had to assume its the ram

I have 1.5GB in my computer. I assume that would be fine.

BF2 does lag as well but only MP SP does very well on high settings (almost maxed)
Gotta love the 7900GS (good buy)

I got 2gb and a 7800gs. im not sure if the ram i have was intended for high performance gaming. the sticks are about 3 years old afterall.

Mine was....I forgot the rating on it though.

Time to face up to facts...my PC is dying, :(

Might have to get a new laptop and Desktop :)
