OK, so I'm market for build a machine I can use as entertainment center with my LCD HD TV.

1. Sofware is easy (Windows Vista Home Premium)

But looking for machine hardware for about $500 budget. AMD Quad Core with 4 gig Ram to start with. Don't know which brand of RAM and series of AMD Quad Code to get though.

Anyone wants to help? :D

32 or 64 bit?

not sure why you want an expensive 4core processor in a media pc, can u explain? the budget is tight enough without wasting on an AMD quad IMHO.

PS I'm also looking for under $100 wireless keyboard and mouse. That's out side 500 budget. :D

I would probably go for an intel core 2 duo if your going to do alot of media encoding. I would also consider going with a Mini ITX setup if you don't want a big loud PC sitting around.

Nope. Still have MAC as primary. Just connecting a media center dedicated machine. :D

DD there is a DF:BHD for MAC don't know you known this or not.

found out on Novalogic.com support area listing say all who has this version need to seek a 3rd part support they handle it.

i for one never known they had a MAC version of DF:BHD till last week going through the listing looking for some other item, came cross that lol

anyways hope your new system turn out super great when you build it and many game hours to play with.
