helo hover at waypoint
 

how can i get a helo to hover at a waypoint for a few seconds. then continue on to the rest of the waypoints.

Have just one waypoint placed where you want the Helo to hover(example waypoint 1-1). Then set the timer to redirect the helo to the next set of waypoints (example waypoint 2-1) after the event has triggered.

Another thought - has anyone tried "Spawns (WP Pause)" for vehicles (set for the waypoint's attributes, not the vehicles). Do vehicles stop and wait at waypoints like the AI people do (or actually does "WP Pause" work at all)?

I just do what Dave said.

Spawns (WP Pause) doesn't work on helo AI as I tested
I found several ways but this is least complex and can be added without adding markers
and you can keep the waypoints as is.

PS this works once then the Helo follows the waypoints as normal or looping unless the event flag is reset

In this example:
ssn7 = Helo1
ssn8 = Pilot1
ssn9 = Pilot2
waypoint 1-0 to 1-2 is the objective waypoint
waypoint 0-0 is used for the pause
Helo1 will pause for 10 seconds at Waypoint 1-1



Event 0: Pilots to Helo1

Actions:

Redirect SSN 8 to waypoint 125-7
Redirect SSN 9 to waypoint 125-7

Event 1: Helo1 start

Triggers:

Event 0 has been triggered
Actions:

Redirect SSN 7 to waypoint 1-0

Event 2: Helo1 freeze

Triggers:

SSN 7 has reached waypoint 1, 1
Actions:

Redirect SSN 7 to waypoint 0-0

Event 3: helo1 unfreeze

Delay event 10 seconds

Triggers:

Event 2 has been triggered
Actions:

Redirect SSN 7 to waypoint 1-2

Just had a quick peek at your MAJWIZ profile and noticed that you have DFX not DFX2, the first mission I sent is for DFX2. here is the same MIS converted to DFX
