American Indians use to have a saying test water see if there life in it looks before drinking it first, no fish/ shrimp/ bugs any type living in it, if none means it bad for you!

same for food, sample (i did this) English muffin and eggs with meat in it mix tother it then cooks some eggs, afterward but them together as a sandwich lay them out see if anything will it eat the egg, slice cheese, with meat, muffin!

my test overnight till morning up to 9 am (09:00hrs) with the egg muffin sandwich it fails no then will have anything to do with it..

you do your own food test, cook anything up or serve drinks to the animals/ wildlife

keep in mind don't feed the bears or they have you as a snack
