Battlefield Vietnam

I bought this game a while back and didn't much care for it however after purchasing again at a very low price and really giving it a fair chance, I find it is an excellent game, very good on line gaming and very atmospheric to play in single player mode.

In my humble opinion it's a far better game that J.O. which as I've said esle where on these forums, turned out to be for me, a huge dissapointment. I know other says it's great nad perhaps some day in the future i will buy it again...who knows?

For now I would recomend Battlefield Vietnam as a worthy addition to anyone's game collection.

Regards;)

did you have to do the setting to get it to work or it work right off the back?

JOTR frame rate kills it and the setting don't do any good at all for it.

will mainly ask was it easy to get it to work and how hard was it to setup to play?

i have BF: 1942 all so and it is sweet to play too.

The reason a lot of people get bad frame rate on BFV is they have antialiasing and triscopic filtering on. Turn those things off people. I don't care what care you have you can't play BFV with 8x and 4x settings. The game textures for it are too detail intensive.

And JO SUCKS. Highest settings everything still looks like wax and cant touch BFV.

thats just people bitching about the NVA side...no1 really likes to play that side for some reason...those that do bitch they get beat cause most play on usa side and r used to the weapons...

now the weapons r great and balanced...what u heard was from the first release - with the patches theyve evened everyting out quite abit

i like it better than JO - 1 MODS r starting to come out bigger now and 3 more people play it also there r more server admin things, host stats, and other tools for the game

though JO just came out i like BFV better...i dont c JO getting close to the community support BFV has gotten

Novalogic wont ever put out a decent game in the community eyes, they could put out a game that years aheadof it time but everyone will still complain because the are conditioned to do that with nova games.

Genocidal~V*D~ 08-25-2004 05:09 PM

i hate ea anything, they pissed me off in 03 by releasing madden for the pc with no online franchise because theyd rather tax people to play in their gay easo servers.

not sayin i hate bfv cause i never played it, just ea ,and my suggestion is dont warm up to any ea game cause they have no probs ripping your heart out for the utter fact they seem to always find a way to ruin their games for the love of making more $$$$

Hellfighter 08-25-2004 06:58 PM

youm should try some of their raceing games, they are good and as for their fighting type games they are good all so in a way they blast nova away.

BF: V has a lot more options to play the game then JOTR has and thats goes for BF:1942 & BF:2. novalogic is new to this area of larger battlefield type game give them a break. they getting there.

as for you don't like EA GAMES thats cool i am not too crazy about ether one i like Electronic Arts games better, but both EA GAMES & Novalogic.Inc do have their good point.

if i wish to get flame in a game i play JOTR & DF: BHD/TS and BF: 1942.

but if i wish to play a good and have great time and a dog fight in a racer type game i'll play Electronic Arts games without getting flame must i gotting is "you SOB" after i push his car in to a wall and gone on to win a race. i love dirty racers tracks with others. most of the time get a big luagh out of it.

fighting type its really some fun but not as close as them race type game they can get wild.

BADDOG 08-28-2004 06:54 AM

The Battlefield Vietnam world war 2 mod set in the pacific is a fantastic addition to this excellent game:)!
