NTL broadband speed upgrades confirmed
Friday, April 28 2006, 16:28 BST - by James Welsh NTL Telewest has confirmed plans to upgrade NTL's broadband internet service. The company's 2Mbps service will be boosted to 4Mbps downstream, with the price remaining constant at £24.99 per month. In addition, the 75GB per month usage allowance will be removed from NTL's 10Mbps tier, effectively making NTL's entire broadband offering uncapped. These upgrades will take effect on June 1, with the 2Mbps upgrade will be carried out on a rolling basis during June. "We've got a solid track record of giving customers more for their money and these broadband upgrades are the latest example of how we'll continue to add value," said Chad Raube, director of internet services at NTL Telewest and formerly director of internet at Telewest. The move is likely the first step in what will be a long line of moves to unify the product offerings of NTL and Telewest. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds32187.html |
