Hard To read

Hey, umm...this sort of goes along with BB's thread about stupid posts. I'm starting to find it hard to read certain posts. Although I'm not sure, I think I may be guilty of making hard to read posts. By hard to read posts, I mean posts that are just way grammicaly off. Now on a forum I don't expect it to be 100% perfect, or even 75% perfect. It seems like the members that post like (well seems like they do anyways :p) 50 posts and up a day are the ones doing it....(that should give you an idea of who i am talking about) Half of their posts make no sense.

I don't know. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but I'd sure like to know if other people are having troubles reading posts by certain members.

Also I don't want to start a flame war at all. Don't take it that way. I'm just curious if other people are expierencing this, and if so: can we do anything about it?

This forum is no longer open for public replies. The thread starter and admin are the only people who may post here.

They come and go every once in awhile..

sometimes its done on purpose, just sheer lazyness, or using net/sms/txt speech.

people will usually grow out of this.

other times its because of English is not their native language.

but either way i don't really think anyone can tell anyone how to type :/

i know some other forums where they have censored incorrect sepllings and shortcuts like m8, teh, w8, ur

etc etc

but i just think that is wrong to enforce that.

i'm sure if you tell someone you cannot undersand their post they woud soon get the message, but don't do it for the sake of it, if you really can tell what they are saying as it will cause unrest in the forum.

I want to make myself clear. I don't want to force them to speak properly, or anything like that. I also don't want to stop the little things like m8, and lol. I like those. And I totally understand that English isn't everybodies native tongue. I was I guess more or less curious if there was any ideas on the matter, but the more I think about it, you're right. I don't want to force anybody to do anythign like that.

Case closed - lol :p

i get your point totally, i just can't really see how to improve. but if you can think of anyting then were always listening :)

Well if i come with something I will post, but as you said, no need for rules or something. I just won't be as "scared" (not really scared but you know) to ask for them to restate what they are writing :).
