Which setting did you like, world war or modern war?

I liked the world war setting as it had frantic action and was quite informative (although, i am yet to play any modern warfare game).

I have played both Call of Duty series Modern Warfare and the World war games.

I guess I'm a fan of the newer weapons so I would have to go with the Call of duty Modern Warfare series. I really like the open battle/invasion type settings.

But, when I do play the World War themed games I like the Medal of Honor:Allied Assualt series of games better than the Call of Duty:World at War series.

Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault (and Spearhead) was the first and only FPS that I have ever fully completed at all levels of play...long time ago but still a very competent game now.

Breakthrough (the second expansion pack for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault) was just as exciting. It was set in North Africa during WW2.

But I really liked Allied Assault ! All the Battles simulated the actual events.

I've got it! (Breakthrough) Found it in my complete collection pack 10th anniversary edition which I bought a while back and stashed because I lost the original game and it's 1st expansion.

And to correct my last post, that was about games on PC.
I also completed a few console FPS games such as "TUROK2: Seeds Of Evil" which was also very good for the day and produced originally on the Nintendo 64 but is now available ported to PC via emulation software.

Medal of Honor Allied Assault and its expansions were great. I really like the starting and the ending of breakthrough. Hey stompem, do you think we will ever get a sequel of Freedom Fighters? By the way how about starting a thread about all the we have collected till now? Some of them might even bring happy memories.

dave61 07-06-2012 07:03 PM

Really want to bring back old memories ?

Here's a website the has all the old NES games !!!

This brought back many old Memories of the first games of the 1980's ... my favorites were DOUBLE DRAGON III !!!

Even SPACE INVADERS ... ah ... the good old days !!!

@black hawk
Freedom fighters? Yeah maybe, it had a fairly solid scenario to the game and a unique "at the time" control method. So who knows?

@Dave61
Yeah Dave good isn't it. I also have the SNES and N64 emulator, playing Turok2 and Golden Eye is real nostalgia trip

Just got this info on the Medal of Honor Breakthrough wiki: Breakthrough is a game which is notable for its historical inaccuracies. What inaccuracies? Any idea?

Guest001 04-14-2013 11:17 PM

Don't have the game...SRY

Shayansp 01-30-2014 07:04 AM

I personally liked the Modern Warfare series as its fun and interesting. I have Cod 5 and it is just crap

City Ace 09-01-2015 08:47 AM

I like both of the genre. But i will predict the modern setting.
