read all about it at http://www.tomshardware.com/
Personally I think this AMD is super fast. Everything lods in 2 seconds including DF and PS!! and I can run alll my games in 1024x764 with the highest setting with no video lag what so ever.

Its all in the chip. The AMD had a 40x better chip. Intel should be outa business i think. For gameing and regular use the AMD out performs the intel by alot. even the duron put up a fight to the P4 lmao. again read it all at http://www.tomshardware.com/

OK, the reason why everybody says AMD chips are better than Intels is because the AMD chips are specifically designed for gaming and use AMD's patented 3DNow! technology to take up part of the video workload. Intels, however, are better geared towards business applications and programs that have more demand on the CPU than on the video card.

There are some games, however, that are programmed to run better with an Intel chip, like BattleZone II and USAF, to name a couple. Any game that has PIII or P4 Optimization in its Setup or Options section is meant to run better on an Intel, but if they do not, they will most certainly run better on an AMD.

The main difference is just in the way the chips handle the data. AMDs help the video card out by processing some of the workload, but an Intel will not.
