The Unofficial patch for DFX

This is the DFX fix (choZen mod)

This Mod was inspired by the novaworld forums and the way I have interpreted the way the game "should be" and was modeled to keep the feel of DFX as much as possible, however some original DFX features have changed.


Basic Features:

All weapons ranges have been adjusted.
Most weapons have ammo adjustments.
Sniper guns only have muzzle flash (no smoke)
AT4 and Stinger have sights with zoom.
Medpack (press 2 to get medpack)
C4 remains after being killed.
Claymores remain after being killed.


Added Medpack (all players)
Added UMP5: Revamped MP5 that fires underwater.
Added Stinger rocket (Helicopter seeking rocket)
Revamped AT4: Faster rocket, more accurate (no splash damage)
Revamped M4: Laser dot sights with zoom.
Revamped M16: Sighted no zoom.
Revamped SAW: Sighted no zoom.

Added Player skin: Cammo clothing, with backpack.



INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Create a New Folder in> "C:Program FilesNovaLogicDelta Force Xtreme" (note: you must rename this folder to choZen *case sensitive)

Open> "C:Program FilesNovaLogic"

Copy Folder> "Delta Force Xtreme"

Paste the above folder into your newly created folder (that you renamed to choZen)

Run> cZn.exe (the file you downloaded from our website)

Complete the Installer (make sure this step completes before proceeding)

Look in your choZen folder for your DFX.exe (icon that you use to start your game)

Right click> DFX.exe and selet "rename" rename this to cZn.

Righ click the newly renamed> cZn.exe (your game icon used for starting your game now) and select "Send to" then "Desktop (create shortcut)

Now run your game from the new icon placed on your desktop.

you can only join servers running this mod, cZn has a server up for you to try it out.
Server name: cZn-MOD SERVER located in public hosted games.

Hehe nice.

I've done something similiar with BHD where I've adjusted the scopes, recoil, velocity, etc. and made the weapons more realistic. I'm sure you'll know Nova are very sloppy with the realism, lol.

Hello cznvandal Sounds like a great idea! Can i ask you how to managed to get the clays to remain? and can i use your at4 ammo info in my mod?

if you need any help with anything or would like something from my mod let me know.

Help yourself with what ever you want in it , I enjoy the SO mod alot man, great work on it.

Its too bad nova dosent use these game fixes people make to improve the game. I get the impression that they just really dont care a whole lot lol.

Na they already lost money on it for selling it so cheap they no longer care about the game much now days thats all.

think they should have more weapons and missions to it maybe make better graphic engine for it. still no planes to fly around in to attack others with. helicopter OK but no jets fighters/bombers

it be one hell of a mod.

hell call it DF: xtreme: shock and all

hell it could be a new df game...seems all that nova does these days is remake their own.

wouldnt mind working with cznvandal on a mod, but as for the others........ went there to try and discuss something that wouldve been to both our mutual benefit and lo and behold i discovered that my mod was being attacked and they were acussing it of including a cheat and also of stealing there stuff.

Its not like there mod and mine are the same thing even though we pulled from the same resources, theres is a remake of the game and mine is an expansion pack. different flavors with alot of the same stuff. as well as modding is NOT a competition! Just like making maps is not a competition. unless ofcourse someone starts a competition with rules and such for the purpose of competing.

Sorry im not trying to start a flame war here, Download and play the mod you prefer and who cares who made it and there lil dramas!

As for can cznvandal's mod be installed with BFM (or SO) the answer is no because his files dont inculde all the weapons in both the BFM mod or the SO mod unless ofcourse you dont want the extra weapons...

Oh forgot to mention, tried out your mod cz, Real nice work, and your correct in saying Nova shouldve tweaked there weapons like you did for them!

Lets work something out and do a project together. By the way I like your mod and think its the best one out thus far. I have some ideas for a great mod, but as always my main goals are keeping the mods light and small in size. dfx-d@hotmail.com contact me when you get a chance.

Cannot Access URL
 

When I try to click on the link I get an error message that say the URL is either outdated or incorrect. Why would this be? I would like to download the MOD. Any suggestions??

i was thinking if a person in the real world get shot badly should their health level go down over time?

i mean they are still bleeding even if they are wounded in the game i would love to see a person static health timer go on and their health go down over a time till they seak a medic or other players to help them totally to get their health back to normal.

healthbar should run down after they been shot or wounded. instead it staying a stop level as in yellow, red, blue. if they are yellow it should keep running down a slow past till ether they get medic help from others. untreated they should die.

Question on the choZen MOD: Will this MOD run when I am hosting a game?

Yes and you need a seperate install for it if you want to play on non modded servers, or servers using a different mod. if you play on a Nova server using it you may get banned.

You would need to be one heck of a hard-@$$ coder to do that lol. ;)
