regarding starting of halo1 pc
 

hi guys. I have recently installed halo1 pc in my computer . whenever I start the game, after intro movies there is a black screen instead of menu .:dontknow:please anyone provide me a solution regarding this. I will be grateful.
my operating system is windows 7 and I have DirectX 11 installed on my pc. I have all latest video & sound card drivers updated on my pc.

try in compatibility mode with Win XP or download a different version

I started the game with compatibility mode with windows XP.but I received error that cannot find c:\windows\system32\config.txt'. what should I do now. Shall I have to download a different version ?

Halo is a port after all, and that too an old one. Before downloading another version, why don't you try to install the game on some another pc that has windows xp running?
