LYON, France - As she held the mirror up to her new face, the woman looked at her reflection. She paused for a moment. Unable to speak because of the breathing tube in her throat, she wrote a note, “Merci.” Thank you.

Then, she cried. Dr. Sylvie Testelin, one of her surgeons, cried too.

The results of the daring nose, lips and chin transplant — the first ever attempted — were beyond what the doctors had hoped for. The new face bore an uncanny resemblance to her former face, one doctor said.

Usally a long while ago they could only transplant noses and mouths, maybe others, but now they can do the whole face! It says that putting two faces together is like a combination, strange, but interesting. Good news! You should see more.

very good stuff. i would like to see a before and after pic to see how it went. must be amazing for that woman.

iirc that proccedure is not allowed in the UK yet. but i'm, sure the benefits will be come clear soon.

I to hope it works out well for this poor woman, god bless her and a happy future with a new face to her:)!!!!
