Converting .wav files to PCM format
If you want to use the 'Dialog Editor' for custom sounds in your map, you should need to convert the .wav file to PCM format. But if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, the 'Sound Recorder' that can do that don't have anymore support to convert to PCM format, only Windows XP. So you need to use 'Audacity', a free audio editor program.
*I used the sound '10MC521'.* *Links in bottom of page.* 1- Open Audacity then click 'File': http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...ndoarquivo.jpg 2- Then click 'Open': http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...ndoarquivo.jpg 3- After that, select your .wav sound. 4- So, after you opened your file, click 'File' again, then click 'Export Selection': http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...ando1-----.jpg http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...exportando.jpg 5- When you click 'Export Selection', choose where you want to save the file, choose a name then select 'WAV (Microsoft) 16bit PCM': http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...xportando2.jpg 6- After that, you can use the 'Dialog Editor' with the converted PCM wav sound: http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...quivodesom.jpg __________________________________________________ ______ ***LINKS*** Audacity: Cnet Dialog Editor: 4Shared Dialog Editor tutorial by *joselz*: 4Shared __________________________________________________ ______ Luis |

Talking about the unlocked editor, you can do most of it anyway in any Delta Force with a good binary editor as here...
