Getting ready for the ice storm...
 

Got my monster 12Vdc battery charger running again today for the upcoming ice storm where about 0.5in of ice is possible... It's the one i use to charge my battery bank for the house for extended periods of power outages... I love these old iron Briggs thumpers, they can be quietened down to where you hear the valves ticking so the noise is not oppressive like these new POS 3600RPM generators... This one makes power at 800RPM-1,000RPM and sips the fuel... Run for hours on a single 16oz bottle of gas... But it's amazing how much i had to readjust the carb since last year because of how much they have screwed the gas... She running like a sewing machine again though... I need to clean and paint the old girl... Considering the engine came off an old cement mixer that spent a lot of time in the weather i think she looks good...Got great compression for the age...

lights never went out..... but i have used it in the past with good success...
