dont thing it's possible.
dont think there are any dedicated server tools for any of the DF/JO games :/

right click your dfx short cut and add /serveonly after the last " mark on the target line - that will skip all video checks and put it into dedicated server mode.


There are 2 server managers for DFX

RAT which comes with DFX- make sure you edit admin.cfg and setup the username and password (make sure the ip restriction is dissabled by adding // to it).


in game.cfg locate remote_adminport and set that to a port number, such as 7000 - by default it is set to 0 which disables it.

If you want you could use wolfrat, but that is just a nice frontend to rat it self and all the features don't work (such as the chat).


Or the babstats multi-tracker available from babstats.com - which will give you the advanced server manager functions (I don't care for it, but it is the only full featured server manager for it).


Either manager though requires you to manually start hosting before they can take over. Neither manager supports restarting the server remotely

the /serveonly switch, does it say about that in the manual icishoot?
never seen it before, guess it shows how long agao since i played DF :/

don't know where it says it... I got it from some one else...

The command comes from JO/JOE..


and i was wrong - it just puts it into window mode and skips the video check - it was how we ran it on our server with the integrated video card which would have failed the video test.

In the dfx host settings though you should be able to choose between Serve and Serve and play - set it to serve for the dedicate server.
