I wonder how much I can actually rip from the game and use? Think it would be possible to use all the buildings and just re skin them and not infringe copyright laws?

So far I've figured out how to:

Add Weapon Models and Sound
Import Terrains
Affect Recoil

Things I'm currently working on are character abilities (cqb, gunner, sniper)

Need to figure out how to:
Change bullet physics
Try to replicate the same running and jumping physics.

I don't know much about creating a game unfortunately. I'm sure you could create similar models and physics and use them in a new project. Not sure how far you'd get offering your game for download if you "ripped" items from an existing game. Lots of copyright issues going on there.

well, if you use the RedJake studios interaction with THQNordic, you will not be able to use the assets "as they are" from the game.

maybe just see how it goes as a modification of DF:LW first, then explore other possibilities?
